Ramblings
We got snow here last night. Nothing too bad, about 2 inches or so. But it's f'ing Missouri, and they don't plow or sand until at least an hour after the snow completely stops!
So, the snow started around 7pm yesterday, while I was at work here by KCI Airport. Got out of work at midnight and the roads were AWFUL! JEEZ... I'm from Massachusetts, I'm used to (and very good at) driving in snow.... but you gotta get the plows out. I-29 hadn't been sanded or plowed at all. I headed south at about 30 MPH (it's a 70 MPH zone) and there were vehicles off the road EVERYWHERE. When I got onto I-635 south, there were 5 vehicles in the ditches there! It's not completely the fault of Missouri for not plowing... obviously these people either were driving like it was a sunny day in July, or just don't know the nuiances of driving in snow.
I crossed the Missouri River into Kansas and low and behold....
THE ROADS WERE CLEAR! I was able to drive at the speed limit the rest of the way home to Olathe. So why is it Kansas will get out there and clear the roads, but the BUTTWIPES in Missouri think they don't need to spend tax money to clear the roads? ANSWER ME, DAMMIT!
OK.... calming down... HEY... the Patriots are playing in Super Bowl XXXIX next Sunday! Gonna kick some Eagle BUTT! Does anyone out there actually think an NFC team can handle the Patriots? It makes me laugh just thinking about it.
