I'm somebody now!
I'm kind of opinionated when it comes to politics (especially local) and football. I often write letters to the editor at the KC Star, and have been published there several times.
But nothing beats what happened today. My opinion didn't get published... heck the guy I nominated didn't even win, but I was the first person mentioned in an article on
WWW.SUPERBOWL.COM ! HOW FREAKIN COOL IS THAT?

Here are the first two paragraphs from Gregg Easterbrooks "Tuesday Morning Quarterback" article.
(Feb. 1, 2005) -- Time to hand out the coveted distinction universally known as the "longest award in sports" -- the Tuesday Morning Quarterback Non-QB Non-RB NFL MVP. Only non-glamour boys eligible; see below for reader nominees who also received consideration.
The second runner-up is LB Tedy Bruschi of the Patriots, nominated by Paul McBride of Olathe, Kan., among many readers. Bruschi was the best defensive performer for the defending champions. During the regular season Bruschi had 122 tackles and three interceptions, a lot for an inside linebacker. His forced fumble in New England's postseason win over Indianapolis, stopping a Colts drive while the game was close, was a monster play. Bruschi did not make the Pro Bowl, but due recognition has come, as Bruschi just graced the cover of Sports Illustrated. Assuming this does not jinx him -- be really, really careful around the hotel swimming pool in Jacksonville, okay, Tedy?
