Lamar Hunt... one track mind

And I think that one track is experiencing some derailments lately.

Poor Lamar, he's got to be what... 150 years old by now, so you know he's gotta be losing some of the marbles that once made him tops in the sports ownership world.

For the past three years, the only thing Lamar seems to think about is getting Arrowhead Stadium fixed up, or getting a new stadium built... at taxpayers expense of course. Wouldn't want Lamar to have to foot that bill, he don't even live here!

Well, Lamar begged the voters of the KC metro area for tax money in the BiState II election this past November and the voters came back with a resounding
FUCK YOU
since four of the five counties voting said NO to giving a billionaire financial aide to fix up an entertainment complex that is used 16-22 times per year.

Lamar seems to think us voters are idiots... because he is back at it again. This time he is at the NFL Owners meeting in Hawaii and he put a question before the owners.

Can Kansas City host a Super Bowl sometime between the years 2012-2022, if we upgrade Arrowhead or build a new stadium?

The owners will vote yes. But only because they know that some schmucks in the KC area will get all excited about the Super Bowl coming here. The Owners think KC has a snowballs chance in hell of actually hosting it though. Want to know why? Of course you do.

The most important reason.
Jackson County can't do it alone... and Kansans aren't likely to vote to help out.

BTW, if you're one of the people who is all excited about the potential of going to a Super Bowl in KC... forget it. The tickets go to the corporations that the NFL thinks actually support it... not the fans of the game that live in the city. Unless of course you have a spare $5,000.00 just laying around.

To the people of the KC Metro Area. Don't be fooled by Lamar the magician. He's just using smoke and mirrors to try and distract you long enough so he can steal the money from your wallet.
